Friulia S.p.A. is the regional financial holding of the autonomous Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, founded on 10 April 1967 under Regional Law 18/1966 and headquartered in Trieste, with the region holding about 87.67 percent of the capital. As a state-backed evergreen balance-sheet investor it takes direct minority and majority equity stakes in regional SMEs across industry, consumer, food, healthcare, energy and technology, funding development capital, generational succession, turnarounds and buy-and-build, and pursues exits in shareholding continuity rather than to a fixed fund horizon. Its rolling portfolio averages roughly 60 participations for about 200 million euro of invested value.
