Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity (France) is the AMF-regulated French portfolio management arm of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, the Geneva-headquartered private bank founded in 1953 by Edmond de Rothschild as La Compagnie Financiere LCF Edmond de Rothschild and renamed Edmond de Rothschild in 2010. The French SAS was incorporated in June 2003 and is headquartered in Paris. Led since 2015 by CEO Johnny el Hachem, who joined EdR in 2002, the platform manages approximately EUR 4.3 billion as of December 31, 2024 across 11 partnership investment strategies operated by specialist teams. Key strategies include PEARL Infrastructure (energy and environmental infrastructure spanning biomass cogeneration, renewables, waste and energy efficiency; PEARL I 2019 EUR 280M, PEARL II 2024 EUR 306M targeting EUR 400M), ERES Equity Strategies (mid-cap buyout in Europe and North America; ERES II 2014, ERES III 2016 EUR 300M, ERES IV 2023 EUR 512M, co-managed with Elyan Partners since ERES IV), Kennet (pan-European B2B SaaS growth, cumulative EUR 1.3 billion, Kennet VI 2024 EUR 266M), Amethis Pan-Africa (Amethis II 2018 EUR 375M, Amethis III 2022 EUR 406M), Amethis MENA (Amethis MENA II EUR 120M), Ginkgo (brownfield remediation real estate across France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the Netherlands; Ginkgo III 2020 EUR 367.5M), Moringa (impact agroforestry in Africa and Latin America, EUR 84M), TIIC (pan-European connected infrastructure) and AINA (boutique luxury hotels in Europe). The wider EdR private-markets platform, including BRIDGE Infrastructure Debt, totals approximately EUR 21 billion across around 190 professionals in 13 countries. In 2025 EdR launched the EdR Private Equity Solutions SICAV Convictions IV, an ELTIF 2.0 product with a EUR 100K minimum entry providing retail access to primary, secondary and co-investment exposures across buyout, growth, real assets and emerging markets. Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners (EdRIP), the original 2001 EdR private equity arm managing the BioDiscovery life-sciences venture and Europportunities mid-cap LBO funds, spun off in April 2018 to become the fully independent Andera Partners, with EdR retaining LP positions.
