About Novum Capital Management
Novum Capital Management is a German Mittelstand-focused private equity firm with €300 million of assets under management as of December 2024, headquartered in Frankfurt. The firm was founded in 2006 as a partner-owned mid-cap PE boutique spun out from the Wagram Equity Partners lineage, with capital sourced from German and international pension funds, private pension schemes and endowments.
Investment thesis
Novum Capital deploys capital through three flagship funds (Novum Fund I 2017 €75 million realised, Novum Fund II 2021 €150 million investing, Novum Media Fund 2022 €75 million investing), targeting buyout and structured equity / debt transactions for German Mittelstand succession and special situations with EBITDA from €5 million and revenue up to €200 million. Sector focus spans industrials, business services, consumer products, food and beverage, healthcare and media and publishing. Geographic deployment is Germany core with selective UK and broader DACH exposure. The operationally hands-on Mittelstand succession specialism combines equity and structured debt in a single ticket.
