Atlantic Labs (now branded Atlantic) is a Berlin-based pan-European pre-seed and seed venture capital firm founded in 2013 by serial entrepreneur Christophe F. Maire, who previously built gate5 and Plazes (both sold to Nokia). It positions itself as a first-round investor that leads pre-seed and seed rounds with conviction, concentrating on AI and Compute, Energy and Climate, Industrial and Robotics, and Space and Security, and has led over 150 first investments backing category creators including SoundCloud, GetYourGuide, Choco, Wandelbots and Prior Labs. The firm spun out its food and climate practice as FoodLabs (Atlantic Food Labs) into a separate EUR 100M vehicle in 2021, while the core Atlantic Labs franchise continues to invest across multiple sequential early-stage funds.
