Triginta Capital is an independent, partner-managed investment, advisory and management company based in Duesseldorf that has backed small and mid-sized DACH companies since 1999. Founded within a major German financial institution as a captive equity unit, it became independent through a 2004 management buyout, traded as AVIDA Group, and was renamed Triginta Capital in October 2008. It targets control stakes (and occasional qualified minorities) in profitable, growing Mittelstand businesses across most industries, with particular depth in manufacturing and automotive supply. Across roughly six funds it deployed aggregate equity commitments of about EUR 500 million and completed well over one hundred transactions. Since 2019 the firm no longer invests from institutional funds or its own balance sheet, instead advising partners and friends-and-family investors who commit through dedicated vehicles.
