Possehl is a Luebeck-based, foundation-owned industrial holding whose sole shareholder has been the non-profit Possehl-Stiftung since 1919. It runs an evergreen buy-and-hold model across ten operationally independent divisions and more than 200 companies, generating around EUR 5.8 billion of revenue with roughly 13,300 employees in over 30 countries. Its dedicated direct-investing arm, Possehl Mittelstandsbeteiligungen (PMB, founded 2009), acquires majority or full stakes in German-speaking mid-market companies as long-term succession solutions, complemented by the Possehl Identification Solutions buy-and-build labeling platform.
