About Inflexion

Inflexion is a UK private equity firm with approximately €17-18 billion of assets under management as of December 2024 (now €20+ billion post-Fund VII), headquartered in London with offices in Manchester, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm, São Paulo, Bangalore, Singapore and New York. The firm was founded in 1999 by John Hartz and Simon Turner, starting with no capital and two desks before growing into a leading European mid-market private equity firm. Inflexion remains a fully independent partner-owned LLP (Inflexion Private Equity Partners LLP).

Investment thesis

Inflexion deploys capital through three active strategies including the flagship Buyout Fund (Buyout VII at €4.5 billion, 2026), Enterprise Fund (Enterprise VI at £975 million, 2024) and Partnership Capital for smaller-cap and minority investments, with average equity tickets ranging from £10 million to £500 million. Sector deployment spans business services, technology, financial services, healthcare, industrials and consumer, with UK core combined with pan-European and selective US deal flow. The platform also closed a £2.3 billion continuation fund in 2025, expanding the flexible capital toolkit alongside the standard fund vehicles.

Recent activity

Recent realised exits include consumer and beauty (2025), consumer and retail (2025), business services (2024) and insurance (2024). Recent acquisitions include Ascend Broking Group (insurance, January 2026), the E78 Fund Solutions add-on via Ocorian (financial services, 2025) and an EPC add-on via Easyfairs (business services and events, 2025). Inflexion continues to deploy across its Buyout VII vintage while expanding the Enterprise Fund and Partnership Capital strategies.
