Caesar Ventures is a pre-seed DACH venture capital firm with approximately €80 million in Caesar Ventures Fund I (first close announced May 2023), headquartered in Berlin (founded in Munich on Kaiserstrasse, later relocated to Berlin). The firm was founded in May 2023, led by Carolin Gabor with Gregor Unger, Jonathan Cordero and Sebastian Büchte, operating as an independent partner-owned VC with LPs including KfW Capital.

Investment thesis

Caesar Ventures deploys capital through one fund (Fund I), targeting very-early-stage and pre-seed venture capital as a first-check, highest-risk entry-point investor with a founder-first model. Sector focus spans deep tech, green tech and sustainability, digital health and fintech. Geographic deployment is DACH (Germany core). The platform is run by ex-founders who pair first-money-in checks with a values and impact filter and a dense operator-and-expert network, having made 44-53 investments to date.

Recent activity

Recent realised exits include a small number of early acquisitions in fintech and health-diagnostics, none specifically dated 2024-2026. Recent acquisitions include active pre-seed deployment across deep tech, digital health and fintech startups (2024-2025), with the portfolio including Lillian Care, Vamo and MEDEA.
