Value Italy SGR is a Florence-based Italian fund manager founded in 2001 as MPVenture SGR, the private equity arm of the Monte dei Paschi di Siena group, and renamed in 2017 following a 2013 management buyout backed by Coller Capital. It ran a family of small and mid-market Italian private equity funds, led by the 150 million euro MPVenture 2 fund, that together completed 43 investments, and later built the Value Italy Credit platform focused on unlikely-to-pay and distressed corporate loans. The private equity funds are now fully divested and the credit business was acquired by Clessidra Capital Credit SGR, and the firm's official website is no longer online.
