Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR is a Milan-based, state-anchored asset manager created in 2010 on the initiative of Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance and controlled by CDP Equity alongside Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit and other Italian banks and pension foundations. It runs around 4.3 billion euros across some twenty closed-end funds, combining direct private-equity and technology-growth investing with fund-of-funds and private-debt programmes. Its direct vehicles - FICC (control and consolidation buyouts), FITEC (technology growth, formerly FII Tech Growth), FIAF (agri-food) and FIPEC (co-investment) - back Italian SMEs in buy-and-build, growth and internationalisation. Chaired by Barbara Poggiali with Domenico Lombardi as CEO.
