Nucleus Capital
Nucleus Capital is a Berlin-based first-check deep-tech venture firm founded in 2020 by Isabella Fandrych and Maximilian Schwarz, investing at pre-seed and seed stage in programmable biology (synbio and techbio), food technology and neo-industrials across Europe and the US. Backed by KfW Capital, the European Investment Fund and Rentenbank, it runs a concentrated, thesis-driven portfolio of scientifically-led founders tackling human and planetary health. The firm operates its legal entity as Nucleus Capital Fund Management GmbH and recorded its first exit when portfolio company Officinae Bio was acquired by Maravai LifeSciences in 2025.
