KGaA is a Munich-listed (SDAX) private equity holding founded in 2008 by Robin Laik that acquires corporate carve-outs and companies in special situations across Europe, investing exclusively from its own balance sheet. The group operates five segments (Automotive & Mobility, Energy & Technology, Infrastructure & Defense, Goods & Services and, from 2026, Chemicals & Materials), generated EUR 6.5bn group revenues in fiscal 2025 with around 36 portfolio companies, and holds equity attributable to shareholders of EUR 604m as at 31 December 2025.
