LIFTT S.p.A. is a Turin-based evergreen venture capital holding created in 2019 by Compagnia di San Paolo, Politecnico di Torino and Fondazione LINKS under the chairmanship of physicist and entrepreneur Stefano Buono, investing its own balance sheet in deep tech technology transfer. It takes direct minority stakes, from proof-of-concept and seed up to early growth, in university spin-offs and scale-ups across four verticals: critical resources, human health and aging, infrastructure for the data revolution, and energy security and industrial automation. Its official investor relations page reports EUR 110.2 million of capital raised from 215 shareholders including Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT, Fondazione LINKS and Azimut, EUR 83.2 million already invested, zero financial debt, 59 projects in portfolio and more than 6,000 projects analysed. In June 2025 LIFTT repositioned itself as a multi-vertical venture capital firm, and its first disclosed international exit came in 2025 when portfolio company Evergreen Theragnostics was acquired by Lantheus Holdings. The firm is headquartered at OGR Tech in Turin and each portfolio page publishes the quarter in which the holding entered the book.
