About Eiffel Investment Group

Eiffel Investment Group is a French alternative asset manager headquartered in Paris, France. It was founded in 2008 by Fabrice Dumonteil, who led its 2011 spin-off from the Louis Dreyfus group, and is today backed by the Impala group of French entrepreneur Jacques Veyrat. As of 31 December 2024 the firm managed approximately €7 billion. It employs around 110 professionals across offices in Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Warsaw, New York and Abu Dhabi, and operates as a third-party asset manager organised around four investment strategies: private debt, private equity, energy-transition infrastructure covering debt and equity, and listed credit and equities, spanning multiple fund vehicles including the Eiffel Energy Transition series and impact debt funds.

Investment thesis

Eiffel Investment Group positions itself as a positive-impact investor focused on financing the ecological and energy transition alongside broader corporate financing. Its private debt and private equity strategies target unlisted companies, with particular industrial expertise in energy transition, life sciences, agri-food and digital. The energy-transition infrastructure strategy lends to and takes equity in renewable energy and energy-efficiency assets, having deployed roughly €2 billion financing over 3,000 such assets. Tickets range from a few million euros for growth-equity stakes up to large infrastructure facilities exceeding €100 million. The limited partner base is predominantly large institutions including insurers, mutuals, pension funds, banks, family offices and public investors, complemented by retail investors via intermediated distribution. Value creation combines flexible capital structuring with deep sector and industrial expertise drawn from the Impala ecosystem.

Recent activity

Recent investments include Waga Energy in renewable energy and biogas (2024), Enfinity Global in energy storage, Power Capital Renewable Energy in renewable energy, and Cuatroochenta in software and digital. Recent fundraising milestones include the 2024 launch of Eiffel Energy Transition III and a European impact debt fund that raised €777 million in 2024. As a predominantly debt and infrastructure manager, Eiffel realises positions through loan repayments rather than equity exits. Detailed buyer names and multiple data available on Pro at €29/month.
