Burda Principal Investments
Burda Principal Investments (BPI) is the growth-capital division of Hubert Burda Media, founded in 2016 and investing the family-owned media group's balance-sheet capital in minority growth stakes in consumer internet and technology companies from Munich, London and Singapore. BPI manages around USD 500m of assets (CEO interview, 2023) with tickets from roughly USD 10m at Series B onwards, and a portfolio spanning Europe, the US and Southeast Asia including Aleph Alpha, Nord Security, Carsome and Bloom & Wild; Vinted, backed since its 2015 Series C, was fully exited via the 2026 EQT-led secondary.
