Acton Capital is a Munich-based growth-equity and late-stage venture firm founded in 1999 as the investment team of Hubert Burda Media (Burda Digital Ventures) and spun out as an independent manager in 2008. It backs tech-enabled, consumer-facing and B2B software businesses at Series A and beyond across Europe and Canada, with typical initial cheques of five to ten million euros. Across its Heureka and Acton fund series the firm has invested in around 100 companies, including Etsy, mytheresa, zooplus, Mambu, HomeToGo, iwoca and SoSafe. It runs a generalist strategy spanning SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, healthcare and consumer internet, and keeps a second office in Vancouver.
