About Summa Equity

Summa Equity is a leading Nordic thematic and impact private equity firm with approximately €4 billion (~SEK 40 billion) of assets under management as of December 2024, headquartered in Stockholm with offices in Oslo, Munich and Copenhagen. The firm was founded in 2016 by Reynir Indahl (a Norwegian investor formerly of Altor) and operates as a partner-owned independent B-Corp certified PE firm. Summa raised Europe's largest impact fund to date with Fund III at €2.3 billion.

Investment thesis

Summa Equity deploys capital through approximately five funds (Fund I, II, III at €2.3 billion, plus Summa Circular and Summa Foundation vehicles), targeting thematic mid-market buyout under a global-challenges-as-opportunities mandate, investing in companies providing measurable sustainability solutions tied to UN SDGs. Sector focus spans circularity, sustainable food, energy transition, tech-enabled resilience, healthcare diagnostics and environmental services. Geographic deployment is Nordics core (Sweden, Norway, Denmark) with broader Europe. The strict four-theme thematic mandate differentiates the platform.
