Schenker Ventures
Schenker Ventures was the corporate venture capital and venture-building unit of logistics group DB Schenker, launched on 5 August 2021 and headquartered at DB Schenker's global HQ in Essen, Germany. It invested off the parent balance sheet across three pillars: direct VC investments (seed to Series B, tickets roughly EUR 0.3-5m) in B2B software and automation startups that make logistics and supply chains greener, safer and more efficient; a venture studio run with Berlin-based MVP Factory; and internal venture building. It made around nine to eleven direct investments including Volocopter, Gideon Brothers, Dexory, Fernride, Laserhub, SQUAKE and Warehousing1. Following DSV's acquisition of DB Schenker (completed 1 May 2025), the unit was wound down, with leadership publicly stating operations would end at the close of December 2025.
