neosfer
neosfer (formerly main incubator) was the early-stage corporate venture capital and innovation unit of Commerzbank Group, a wholly-owned GmbH subsidiary founded in 2013 in Frankfurt am Main as one of the first fintech CVCs at a major continental European bank. Investing directly off the Commerzbank balance sheet, it backed seed to Series A startups in fintech, B2B SaaS and sustainability with tickets of roughly EUR 250K to 2M across Europe, running invest, build and connect teams. Rebranded from main incubator to neosfer in April 2022, it built a portfolio of around 26 active holdings and 11 exits before Commerzbank wound down the unit on 30 June 2026. Its managing director was Matthias Lais, the founder of the original main incubator.
