International Chemical Investors Group
International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) is a privately held evergreen industrial holding founded in 2004 by Dr. Achim Riemann and Patrick Schnitzer that acquires chemical and pharmaceutical businesses, mostly carve-outs from majors, and develops them long term under platforms such as WeylChem (fine chemicals), Vynova (chlorovinyls), Benvic (compounds), HCS Group (hydrocarbons), Catexel (care chemicals) and Stockhausen (superabsorbents). The group is headed by ICI Holding SE in Frankfurt (HRB 132939), generates sales in excess of EUR 2.8bn with around 5,950 employees across 45+ plants, and publishes no capital or AuM figure. Its CordenPharma CDMO platform was sold to Astorg in 2022 for more than EUR 2.5bn.
