Cita Investissement
Cita Investissement is a Paris-based bilateral private equity vehicle founded in 1985 by Elf, Paribas, IDI and Kuwaiti public financial institutions to promote France-Kuwait economic cooperation, re-incorporated in August 2013 as an SCR. Sponsored by Bpifrance and the Kuwait Investment Authority, it has approximately EUR 100M in committed capital and invests across venture, growth and ownership-transfer strategies, taking minority stakes only, with tickets of up to EUR 6M (historically up to EUR 15M) in French companies with enterprise values between EUR 2M and EUR 200M. Since inception Cita has invested in approximately 51 companies, generating one IPO (Xilam, Euronext, 2002) and more than 15 exits via acquisition, including Actelion (2017, Johnson & Johnson, USD 30B), Allociné (2003, via Tiger Global), 1001 Listes (2006, TF1, EUR 20M), Inetum, BedyCasa (2017, LSF), Direct Energie, Sidel and Marionnaud. It currently holds around 15 active positions, with recent investments including Uromems, JIN France, Xelya, College de Paris and E-Bike Solutions. The board is chaired by Nour Al Bader, President since November 2025, with Sheikh Jaber A. Al Sabah representing KIA.
