AM Ventures
AM Ventures is a Starnberg-based venture capital firm founded in 2015 by Arno Held and Johann Oberhofer, backed by the Langer Group (the family behind additive-manufacturing pioneer EOS). It is the leading specialist VC dedicated exclusively to industrial 3D printing / additive manufacturing, investing from seed to early growth in hardware, software, materials and AM applications globally, with ticket sizes from around EUR 0.5m to EUR 3m. After investing off the founders and Langer Group balance sheet from inception, the firm institutionalised in 2021-2022 with an oversubscribed EUR 100m fund raised alongside asset manager KGAL. As of 2026 it has backed 20-plus companies across seven countries and three continents, with notable exits including Cubicure (to Align Technology) and Additive Works (to 3D Systems).
