Systemiq Capital is a UK climate-tech venture capital firm with approximately $140 million of cumulative assets under management as of December 2024 (Fund I $30 million deployed plus Fund II $70 million first close 2022, $200 million target), headquartered in London. The firm was founded in 2018 by Jeremy Oppenheim, Paul Polman, Irena Spazzapan and the Systemiq Ltd system-change advisory company. Systemiq Capital operates as an independent partner-owned VC firm spun out of Systemiq Ltd advisory, with founder pedigree combining ex-Unilever CEO, ex-McKinsey climate lead and ex-Goldman commodities expertise.

Investment thesis

Systemiq Capital deploys capital through two flagship funds (Fund I 2018, Fund II 2022) targeting multi-specialist climate-tech VC at late seed through Series A and B stages, with thesis-led system-change lens applied across approximately 26 portfolio companies.
