Kloeckner Ventures
Kloeckner Ventures (legal entity kloeckner.v GmbH) is the corporate venture capital arm of Kloeckner & Co SE, one of the largest producer-independent steel and metal distributors, established in 2015 and based in Berlin, Germany. It makes direct minority equity investments in early- and growth-stage startups strategically relevant to the steel distribution, industrial supply chain, procurement, digital sales and additive-manufacturing value chain, alongside indirect commitments to third-party venture funds. Notable direct investments include B2B MRO marketplace Contorion (exited to the Hoffmann Group in 2017), large-format industrial 3D printer maker BigRep (which went public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange via a SPAC merger in 2024) and AI sourcing software provider Keelvar. It is a balance-sheet, parent-funded evergreen investor rather than a discrete closed-end fund manager.
