Ibla Capital is an independent Rome-based private equity investment company founded in 2015 by Alessandro Lo Savio, taking control stakes in small and medium-sized Italian manufacturing and services businesses with turnover of EUR 10-50 million. Contrary to the assumption that it is a self-funded deal-by-deal industrial holding, it is a fund manager backed by European and US institutional investors including pension funds, insurers, universities and foundations, and it invests through closed-end vehicles named Ibla Industries and Ibla Industries II. Its stated speciality is complex situations, namely corporate carve-outs, turnarounds and succession scenarios, with a hands-on operating approach built on four pillars: management and governance, equity strengthening, operational improvement and buy-and-build. Typical equity tickets are EUR 1-5 million over a 3-7 year horizon, in mechanics, components, packaging, food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics. The firm is a member of AIFI and a signatory of the UN PRI, and it has run active buy-and-build in rubber (Se.Fa plus Intermarp), agricultural machinery (Seko plus the Kongskilde line bought from CNH) and power electronics (BWR plus Electro System).
