High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) is Germany's most prolific seed venture capital investor with more than €2.0 billion across all fund vintages as of December 2024 (€3 billion plus including the 2024 Opportunity Fund), headquartered in Bonn with additional offices in Berlin and Munich. The firm was founded in 2005 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as a public-private partnership combining BMWK, KfW Capital and approximately 45 corporate and family-office limited partners including BASF, Bosch, Bayer, Siemens and SAP. HTGF has backed 700+ portfolio companies and realised 200+ exits across its history.
