Formentor Capital Partners is a Madrid-based independent private equity manager founded in 2018 by Bernardino Diaz-Andreu (formerly Torreal) and Jose Ramon de Pablo (formerly Atlas Capital) out of the former Atlas Capital Private Equity SGEIC. It backs Spanish mid-market SMEs through growth capital, control buyouts and sector consolidation, taking majority and minority stakes in companies with EBITDA above 2 million euros. The firm launched with its debut fund, FCP Fund I, which raised 120 million euros mostly from North American and European institutional investors, and has invested across telecom, business services, consumer and audiovisual sectors.
