Sopromec Participations is a French investment company founded in January 1964 in Paris, one of the historical pioneers of French private equity, having financed several hundred SMEs and more than 500 deals across six decades, with around 38 active portfolio companies. Since 2006 it is wholly owned by Pelican Venture, the Gorge family holding, which also controls Promelys Participations (AMF-regulated FCPR, FCPI and FIP fund manager) and Fondelia (micro-equity). Sopromec invests its own balance-sheet capital of around EUR 25M, deploying minority tickets of EUR 100k to 500k (up to EUR 1M with co-investors) as a multi-sector generalist across metropolitan France in growth and business-transfer capital. Exits include Cimes (2017, Cegos), Ordinal Software (2022, Codra), Hydeclim (2023, Sonepar), Récif (2024, Yotta Capital Partners) and Logitrade (2021, MBO).
