Mouro Capital
Mouro Capital is a fintech and AI-focused venture capital firm backed solely by Banco Santander as its single limited partner. It was established in 2020 when Santander spun out and rebranded its corporate venture arm, Santander InnoVentures (launched 2014 with USD100m, later increased to USD200m), into an autonomously managed fund while doubling the commitment to USD400m. The firm operates through the FCA-regulated entity MSM Global Investments LLP with offices in London, Madrid and San Francisco, investing from seed to Series C across Europe, North America and Latin America with initial cheques up to about USD15m. It is led by General Partners Manuel Silva Martinez and Chris Gottschalk. Cumulative commitments exceed USD1bn across its funds; in May 2026 it announced a USD400m (EUR343.4m) first close of Fund III to back financial infrastructure, payments, lending, insurance and AI-enabled enterprise software.
