Curitas Ventures AB is a Stockholm-based venture capital firm registered at Mosebacke torg in Stockholm, founded in 2020. The firm was launched by Mikael Ahlström (Chairman) and Gerda Mazi Larsson (CEO). Ahlström founded Procuritas, described as Northern Europe's first private-equity group, and brings approximately 40 years of Nordic PE experience. Larsson previously co-founded The Case for Her (a femtech and women's-health investment portfolio) and was Deputy Executive Director at UN Women Sweden. Assets under management as of December 2024 are not publicly disclosed. In April 2025, Nordic Asia Investment Group 1987 AB (Nasdaq First North: NAIG B) announced agreement to acquire 100 percent of Curitas Ventures AB for SEK 71.8 million (approximately €6.5 million), with the deal completed in August 2025. The structure is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the listed Nordic Asia Investment Group operating an evergreen holding-company portfolio model.
Curitas Ventures pursues an early-stage and growth-stage minority investment strategy with predominantly Seed-round entry into Nordic entrepreneurs building out-of-the-ordinary companies. The model is closer to a permanent-capital holding-company portfolio than a fund, with deals made off the Curitas balance sheet now sitting inside the listed Nordic Asia Investment Group structure. Sector focus is industry-agnostic with three declared sweet-spot themes: disruptive technology, life science and sustainability. The actual portfolio reflects this mix spanning SaaS and B2B software, pharma, the pet sector, sustainable mobility and EV trucks, agtech and hardware and IoT. Geographic scope is primarily the Nordics with the firm noting it makes occasional exceptions outside the region. Ticket size is not publicly disclosed and is consistent with Seed-round Nordic VC ranges. The capital provider base is now the publicly-listed Nordic Asia Investment Group shareholders following the August 2025 acquisition. Value creation operates through operator-led mentorship with both founders active entrepreneurs serving on portfolio-company boards.
Recent investments include Senseworks in business and productivity software (January 2025, as part of the Curitas Seed VC II programme), Inex One in B2B SaaS covering expert-network platform, Sobrera Pharma in life science and pharma and Pet Union Sweden in consumer and pet sector. No verified realisations have been publicly disclosed to date. The August 2025 acquisition by Nordic Asia Investment Group brings Curitas Ventures into a publicly-listed holding-company structure pivoting from listed Asian holdings to unlisted European holdings with Curitas Ventures as the anchor platform. The firm continues active Nordic Seed-stage deployment across the three thematic sweet-spots of disruptive technology, life science and sustainability.
