The firm was founded in 2017 by Magnus Grimeland (Norwegian) and Fridtjof Berge, operating a founder-platform residency model across 30 cities and 6 continents. Investment thesis
Antler deploys capital through approximately 25 regional fund vehicles plus the Antler Elevate growth fund ($285 million), with Asia-Pacific vehicles approximately $200 million and Southeast Asia Fund II at $72 million. The investment thesis is a day-zero / pre-seed residency programme that backs individual founders before they have a team or idea, followed by follow-on Seed and Series A cheques via Antler Elevate. Sector focus spans AI, fintech, SaaS, climate, healthtech and commerce, with geographic deployment across Singapore HQ plus strong Nordic, DACH, UK, US, India and MENA presence. The platform is the fastest-growing AI portfolio with a new AI startup added every 9 days in Europe in 2025.
