Climentum Capital is a Danish climate venture capital firm with €150 million Fund I (closed 2022) and Fund II targeting €100 million (approximately €60 million first close in late 2025), headquartered in Copenhagen with offices in Berlin and Stockholm. The firm was founded in 2021 by Malin, Dorte, Stefan and Morten and operates as a partner-owned independent climate VC with five General Partners. Climentum is an Article 9 SFDR fund with dual carry aligning financial and impact returns.
Climentum Capital deploys capital through two flagship funds (Fund I 2022, Fund II 2024-2025) targeting early-stage hard-tech climate VC investments (Seed and Series A) with €1-5 million initial tickets, 10% target ownership and 50% reserved for follow-on. Sector focus spans six high-emission sectors: energy, industry, infrastructure, mobility, materials and food and agriculture. Geographic deployment is Europe-wide across investments in seven countries spanning Nordics, DACH and UK. The Article 9 SFDR fund with dual-carry impact-aligned compensation backs un-hyped hard-tech industrial decarbonisation rather than software-heavy climate tech.
Realised exits have not been disclosed reflecting the early fund vintage (2022 onwards). Recent acquisitions include Scale Energy (decentralised battery storage, February 2025), Novatron Fusion (energy, 2024-2025), Aegir Insights (offshore wind data and software, February 2024), Rodinia Generation (cleantech, April 2024), ZeroPoint Technologies (industrial decarbonisation, May 2024) and Qvantum (heat pumps, 2024). The platform continues active deployment across Fund II and the six-sector industrial decarbonisation thesis. Detailed buyer names and multiple data available on Pro at €49/month.
