About Audax Strategic Capital
Audax Strategic Capital is the dedicated strategic capital platform of Audax Group with $1.3 billion of dedicated fund capital raised (August 2025) on top of the Audax Group $39 billion firm-wide platform (Dec 2023 baseline, approximately $42 billion by April 2025), headquartered in New York and London with the UK platform launched December 2022. Audax Group was founded in 1999 as a Boston-headquartered alternative investment manager, and the Audax Strategic Capital business unit was established in 2022 to provide mid-hold structured equity to PE sponsors.
Investment thesis
Audax Strategic Capital deploys capital through a dedicated Strategic Capital fund vehicle ($1.3 billion 2025) plus access to the Audax Group platform (325 plus GP relationships), targeting mid-hold equity solutions, structured capital for follow-ons, continuation vehicles and sponsor-led recaps allowing PE owners to retain control of performing assets. Sector deployment is sector-agnostic with concentration in B2B services, technology, healthcare, industrials and business services. Geographic deployment is North America core complemented by the UK platform serving European sponsors.
