About Node Ventures

Node Ventures AB is an independent Nordic venture capital firm headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, founded in 2023 by a team of former operator-founders. Assets under management stand at €71 million on a single fund, with Node Ventures Fund I holding its final close on 16 October 2024. The structure is an independent Nordic VC management company. The founding team includes Daniela Sjunnesson (former CMO Paradox Interactive), John Elvesjö and Mårten Skogö (co-founders of Tobii and Tobii Dynavox eye-tracking), Henrik Tellving (founder of allabolag.se), Chris Albinsson, Jonas Malm and Andy Johnston (Brightly Ventures alumni). The eight-person team executes a founder-first operator-led model. There is one fund vehicle to date: Node Ventures Fund I (vintage 2023, €71 million final close).

Investment thesis

Node Ventures pursues an early-stage Nordic-anchored venture capital strategy at Seed and Series A stages with a founder-first operator-led model. The firm markets itself on backing Nordic Game Changers, sector-agnostic in mandate but pattern-matching strongly on founders with deep operator pedigree. Sector focus is sector-agnostic with active monitoring across three thematic clusters: new experiences spanning gaming, new media, healthtech and on-demand, platform technologies spanning fintech, IoT, Web 3.0, machine intelligence and energytech, and smarter workplaces spanning developer tools, digital workplaces, martech and productivity tools. Geographic scope is Nordic covering Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway with optional Baltic exposure. Ticket size is approximately €450,000 to €2.2 million (SEK 5 to 25 million) initial cheque, with capacity for follow-on within the Series A range. The cornerstone limited partner is Saminvest (the Swedish state-owned fund-of-funds), backed by 70-plus Nordic entrepreneurs including founders of Axis Communications, Yubico, Polarium, Cint, Evolution, PriceRunner and Polar Structure. Value creation is operator-led hands-on support spanning product strategy, go-to-market, hiring, follow-on fundraising and partner introductions.
