About iAdvize

iAdvize is a Nantes-based conversational commerce company whose SaaS platform lets online retailers hold real-time conversations with shoppers, combining human agents, brand experts and, more recently, generative AI copilots that answer product questions and guide buyers toward purchase. Positioned as a European leader in conversational commerce, it connects brands with customers across live chat, messaging apps and social channels, layered on a behavioural targeting engine that decides when and whom to engage. The company also operates ibbu, a community of independent experts and enthusiasts who advise shoppers on behalf of brands. According to company and press disclosures, iAdvize serves hundreds of brands across roughly 40 countries, and its reported revenue reached around 48 million dollars in 2024, up from about 13 million dollars in 2018.

Ownership journey

iAdvize was founded in Nantes in 2010 by Julien Hervouet and Jonathan Gueron, starting from click-to-chat and click-to-call tools before broadening into messaging and conversational commerce. After an initial angel round that included Kima Ventures, the company raised about one million euros from Alven in 2012, invested through the Alven V fund. Iris Capital joined in 2015 through its IrisNext fund, and in October 2017 iAdvize closed a Series C of around 32 million euros with Quadrille Capital, investing via Quadrille Technologies III, and Eurazeo, through its Eurazeo Growth Fund II. Alven, Iris Capital, Quadrille Capital and Eurazeo are all listed as active shareholders, and no exit or secondary transaction has been recorded.

Under PE ownership

The 2017 Series C was earmarked for international expansion and product development, and following the investment iAdvize opened a US office in Boston and pushed further into North America while scaling its brand-community model through ibbu. The platform evolved from click-to-chat toward a broader messaging and conversational commerce suite, and from 2023 the company pivoted hard into generative AI with iAdvize Copilot, autonomous AI assistants aimed at e-commerce conversion. The company reported that the volume of conversations handled by generative AI grew roughly a hundredfold over the final months of 2023, with more than 100 brands deploying the technology that year. Reported revenue rose from about 13 million dollars in 2018 to around 48 million dollars in 2024, and iAdvize now positions itself as a specialist in trusted generative AI for commerce.
