About HealthNet Homecare
HealthNet Homecare is a Swadlincote-based clinical homecare provider that dispenses and delivers prescription medicines to patients in their own homes and provides the associated nursing care, working in partnership with the NHS, pharmaceutical manufacturers and private payers. It is positioned as one of the largest clinical homecare businesses in the United Kingdom, serving patients with chronic conditions and rare and orphan diseases, and it operates a dedicated fertility arm, Stork Fertility, for patients undergoing IVF treatment. The company pairs medicine delivery and at-home nursing with a digital care platform, myHealthNet, through which patients manage treatments, deliveries and support. At the time of its 2024 institutional investment it employed more than 750 people and served roughly 165,000 patients, and it has since described supporting a substantially larger patient base across the UK.
Ownership journey
HealthNet Homecare was founded in 2015 by Kerry Hinton, who built and led the business as chief executive and grew it into one of the UK's leading clinical homecare operators. In October 2024 CBPE Capital invested in the company through its Fund X, backing Hinton and the existing management team, who continued to lead the business after the transaction. The deal marked CBPE's first investment in the consumer services sector and its entry as the company's institutional backer, with the founder-led team remaining in place. CBPE remains the current owner and HealthNet Homecare is still listed as a portfolio company; no exit or secondary transaction has been recorded.
Under PE ownership
CBPE's 2024 investment was framed as growth capital to support HealthNet Homecare's expansion and to strengthen its position as a patient-centric clinical homecare provider at national scale. Under the new ownership the company has continued to operate its core medicine-delivery and at-home nursing services alongside the Stork Fertility division and the myHealthNet digital platform, extending its reach across patients with chronic, rare and orphan-disease conditions. Because the investment is recent, the publicly documented changes to date center on the capital and strategic backing put in place to fund further growth rather than on completed acquisitions or disclosed operational milestones.
