About Glasseo

Glasseo is a French automotive glazing specialist that repairs and replaces vehicle glass, windshields, side and rear windows, sunroofs, headlight optics and mirrors, through mobile technicians who intervene at the customer's home or workplace rather than from a fixed storefront. Its mobile workshops carry the equipment needed to recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind modern windshields, and roughly 70 percent of franchisee revenue comes from national agreements with insurers who cover the cost of repair. The network operates around 30 sites across France and handles more than 35,000 interventions a year, according to the company. In 2024 Glasseo reported that it had become the only company in the French automotive sector to obtain B Corp certification, anchored in a "Pare-brise Positif" programme that prioritises repair over full replacement.

Ownership journey

Glasseo has operated as a mobile automotive glazing business since the late 1990s and claims more than 25 years of field experience, with historic roots in the Hauts-de-France region around Lille. In October 2014 IRD Invest backed the company through its Nord Croissance fund in a capital reorganisation, Nord Croissance being a regional vehicle that supports small and mid-sized enterprises across northern France. The mandate of that fund spans capital-development and capital-reorganisation deals for companies in the Hauts-de-France area, which fits Glasseo's profile at the time of the deal. IRD Invest still lists Glasseo among its active portfolio holdings, and no exit or secondary transaction has been recorded.

Under PE ownership

Since the 2014 investment Glasseo has built out from its northern base into a national mobile network, extending coverage across the Nord, Pas-de-Calais and Somme departments and opening new service points, including a site near Saint-Omer to serve the coastline from Dunkerque to Boulogne. The network has grown to roughly 30 sites handling more than 35,000 interventions a year, supported by a central planning and billing platform that lets local technicians operate alongside national insurance contracts. The company has leaned on a franchise model to widen its footprint while keeping each site at human scale. In 2024 it secured B Corp certification, positioning its "Pare-brise Positif" repair-first methodology and low-emission fleet as commercial as well as environmental differentiators.
