Ca' Zampa is an Italian veterinary and pet-care group that operates an integrated network of clinics offering companion-animal healthcare alongside grooming, nutrition, behavioral training and home transport under a single brand. It pioneered a one-stop model that combines general and specialist veterinary medicine, surgery, advanced diagnostics such as CT and MRI, emergency care and wellness services within shared clinical standards across its sites. Ownership journey

Ca' Zampa was founded in Milan in 2017 to build a structured, multi-site veterinary group in an Italian market still dominated by single-practitioner clinics. In December 2021 G Square Healthcare Private Equity acquired a majority stake through its G Square Capital III fund, backing the company to accelerate its network expansion from a base of nine clinics. Under PE ownership

The 2021 investment was earmarked for network buildout and consolidation, and under G Square's ownership Ca' Zampa expanded from roughly nine clinics to a network of about 26 sites by late 2023, combining newly created centers with acquired practices integrated onto common clinical standards. The group pursued an active buy-and-build strategy, including a batch acquisition of ten additional veterinary structures spanning clinics and hospitals across several Italian regions. It also invested in proprietary technology, including AI-assisted tools and a health-monitoring collar for dogs, to support veterinarians and pet owners. By the end of the investment period the platform had established itself as one of the largest veterinary clinic groups in Italy, and company disclosures now report more than 40 clinics, over 500 veterinary professionals and more than 150,000 animals treated annually.
