About Esas Holding UK
Esas Holding UK Limited is the UK subsidiary of Esas Holding A.Ş., the Istanbul-based family investment firm founded in 2000 by first- and second-generation members of the Şevket Sabancı branch of the Sabancı family, one of the founding families of Sabancı Holding. The UK arm was incorporated on 22 November 2021 at 12 Stanhope Gate in London, the group's longstanding London base operational since November 2009. Esas Holding group assets under management are approximately USD 10 billion (approximately €9.4 billion at December 2024 rates) across private equity (USD 2.2 billion), real estate (USD 2.0 billion), venture capital via Esas Ventures, and liquid assets. The London office anchors the international private equity team led by İpek Mutlu and the international real estate platforms Capreon and Feldberg. The structure is a single-family office and multi-asset alternative investment manager. Multiple fund and managed-account vehicles operate across the group including private equity, real estate platforms Capreon and Feldberg, and Esas Ventures, though no consolidated UK-only fund count is published.
Investment thesis
Esas Holding UK pursues a mid-market private equity strategy (control and significant minority), supplemented by real-estate platform investing and global venture capital via Esas Ventures. Sector focus at group level spans aviation, food, logistics, healthcare, retail and leisure for private equity, and office, retail, residential, industrial, logistics and life-sciences for real estate where Capreon and Feldberg cover the UK and Continental Europe. Geographic scope is Turkey, the UK and Continental Europe, with selective US exposure. The UK arm specifically anchors European real estate and the international PE function. Ticket sizes are not formally disclosed; primary sources reference mid-market PE cheques estimated at USD 50 to 300 million equivalent based on portfolio size. The capital base is single-family office capital from the Şevket Sabancı branch led by Emine Sabancı Kamışlı as Vice Chair alongside co-founders. Value creation rests on long-duration evergreen capital, in-house operating expertise, direct board engagement and platform build-outs.
