About Varna
Varna is a Stockholm-based Nordic security group specialising in the installation, service and maintenance of physical perimeter protection, access control and surveillance systems for mid- and high-security sites. Its customers span public infrastructure, industry and commercial real estate, segments where technical specifications and regulatory demands are tightening. The group was assembled from six specialist providers, Telehantering, Landstroms Larmcenter, IQ, Lashantering, IP Security Scandinavia and Dan Group Alarm Syd, and operates on a decentralised model in which the individual businesses retain operational independence and keep day-to-day decisions close to customers and technology. It positions itself as a significant Nordic player at inception in a fragmented market experiencing rising demand driven by geopolitical change, digital transformation and stricter regulation.
Ownership journey
Varna was created in June 2026 by Triton Partners, the Northern European private equity firm founded in 1997, as a platform investment of its Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund II. Rather than acquiring a single company, Triton formed the group by bringing together six independent Nordic specialists in perimeter protection and technical security under a common holding structure. The fund, which closed at 815 million euros and targets lower mid-market businesses in Triton's core sectors of Business Services, Industrial Tech and Healthcare, is the current equity owner. To lead the group, Triton appointed Robin Boheman as Chief Executive Officer; he joined from Instalco, the Nasdaq Stockholm-listed Nordic installation group where he had served as CEO and previously as Head of M&A and Chief Financial Officer. As a newly formed platform, Varna has recorded no exit or secondary transaction.
Under PE ownership
Because the investment dates only to June 2026, Varna's development is at an early stage and reflects the buy-and-build blueprint Triton has applied to comparable decentralised installation platforms, including Eleda in Sweden, Habeo and Lohkare Infra in Finland and bluu unit in Germany. The initial consolidation gave the six founding businesses access to capital, shared resources and group-level expertise while preserving their local operating autonomy. Varna has been launched with an explicit and active acquisition strategy aimed at consolidating the still-fragmented Nordic perimeter protection and technical security market. Under Boheman's leadership, the near-term agenda centres on scaling the platform through further add-on acquisitions and supporting organic growth across the founding companies.
