About Noblet
Groupe Noblet is a French industrial services company based in the Ile-de-France region that rents trucks, construction equipment and mobile cranes with qualified drivers to civil-engineering, public-works and landscaping firms. Its fleet exceeds 120 vehicles, spanning dump trucks, crane trucks, water tankers, excavators, vacuum excavators, street sweepers and mobile cranes in the 35 to 100 tonne range, alongside ancillary services such as equipment transfers, big-bag collection and road patching. The group operates from four sites across three departments of the Paris region and serves major contractors including Vinci, Eiffage, Colas, Veolia and Suez. It holds ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications for quality, health and safety, and environmental management. Positioned in a fragmented regional rental market, it combines driver-operated equipment rental with specialist civil-engineering support.
Ownership journey
Groupe Noblet was created in 1985 in the Ile-de-France region, and Laurent Galle took over the business in 2010, building it into a recognised regional player as majority shareholder and operating leader. In 2018 Generis Capital Partners entered the capital through a secondary LBO, investing via its FPCI Entreprise et Croissance I fund alongside Galle, who retained majority ownership and continued to lead operations. The investment thesis, articulated by Generis founder Thibaut de Roux, centred on external growth in a fragmented Paris-region market buoyed by the Grand Paris programme, the 2024 Olympic Games and the Disneyland Paris expansion. Generis remains an active shareholder supporting the company's build-up strategy, and no exit or secondary transaction has been recorded.
Under PE ownership
Since the 2018 investment, Generis Capital Partners has financed a buy-and-build strategy that expanded Noblet from driver-operated equipment rental into adjacent specialties. The group first acquired a vacuum-excavator rental specialist, then in October 2021 acquired Bour, a crane and tank rental company founded in 1920, moving Noblet into the lifting and crane-hire segment. By 2021 the company reported projected revenue of about EUR 21 million, reflecting a three-year compound annual growth rate of roughly 19 percent despite the impact of the 2020 health crisis. The build-up broadened the fleet and service range while positioning the group to capture demand from large Paris-region infrastructure and construction programmes.
