About Groupe ROSA
Groupe ROSA is a French omnichannel retailer of home textiles and apparel that sells directly to consumers through catalogues, e-commerce and a network of stores. It operates a portfolio of heritage and digital-native brands, led by Linvosges in premium household linen, Francoise Saget in mid-market home textiles, and Envie de Fraise in online maternity wear, with production of its linen ranges concentrated in Portugal and specialist embroidery retained in the Vosges. The group is a leader in French home linen, reporting a market share above 20 percent and a customer base of more than five million, and it distributes across Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and other European markets. It generated turnover of about 257 million euros in 2021, of which a growing share is online, and Linvosges alone reported revenue of roughly 140 million euros in 2023.
Ownership journey
The group traces its oldest brand to Linvosges, founded in Gerardmer in the Vosges in 1923, later combined with Francoise Saget under the MK Direct home-linen platform that passed through successive buyout owners including Activa Capital from 2007. In 2016 Eurazeo, through its Eurazeo PME arm, acquired a majority position of around 55 percent in MK Direct, investing roughly 49 million euros in equity and quasi-equity alongside management on an enterprise value of about 102 million euros. In 2017 the platform folded in Envie de Fraise, an online maternity-wear brand, broadening the group beyond home linen into apparel. The enlarged business was subsequently rebranded Groupe ROSA, and Eurazeo remains the controlling shareholder, with no exit or secondary transaction publicly recorded.
Under PE ownership
Eurazeo backed the group to accelerate its cross-channel model in France and to expand the brands across Europe, through both organic growth and acquisitions. Following the investment, the platform integrated Envie de Fraise in 2017 to reach a combined workforce of about 540 employees and turnover of more than 220 million euros, with over 30 percent already generated online. By 2021 group revenue had grown to around 257 million euros, and the digital-first Envie de Fraise brand extended international reach into markets including the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. The group has continued to shift its sales mix toward e-commerce, with more than half of Linvosges sales generated online by the mid-2020s.
