About Fidelem

Fidelem is a French industrial manufacturer based in Bozouls, in the Aveyron, specialising in made-to-measure kitchen and bathroom countertops in laminate (HPL) and compact material for professional cabinet makers and kitchen retailers. The company presents itself as the French leader in custom laminate and compact worktops, selling to roughly 3,000 professional clients and offering 269 laminate finishes and around 75 compact references, alongside matching splashbacks, sink units, fronts and vanity tops. It operates a single integrated production site of about 17,000 square metres of covered buildings on 3.5 hectares, where more than 100 employees produce close to 3,000 bespoke countertops a week, handling on the order of 40,000 orders per year. Revenue reached about EUR 23.5 million in 2025, up from a record of roughly EUR 21 million for the June 2022 to June 2023 financial year.

Ownership journey

Fidelem was founded in Bozouls in 1995 by Christian Plouchart, initially as a maker of semi-finished postformed laminate components for the kitchen and bathroom furniture trades, before moving downstream to finished products from 2003. Operational leadership passed to Joel Hugonnet and David Chassang, who took the lead roles from 2011 and drove the plant's expansion and successive product launches through the 2010s. In 2022 the business reorganised its capital around a management holding company, and iXO Private Equity, investing through its iXO PME 1 fund, backed the group in a management-led ownership structure. iXO remains an active shareholder, and Fidelem is still listed among its current portfolio holdings, with no exit or secondary transaction recorded.

Under PE ownership

Since the 2022 investment Fidelem has continued to industrialise its Bozouls site and broaden its range while retaining single-site production in France. It commissioned a biomass boiler to support its energy transition, backed by the Occitanie region and ADEME, and planned a new automated cutting department combining integrated storage with a robotic stacking system, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Occitanie 2021-2027 programme. On the product side it extended into compact bathroom vanity tops in 2024 and added bevelled-edge finishes for monolithic island tops. Over the period revenue climbed to about EUR 23.5 million in 2025 and headcount passed the 100-employee mark, consistent with weekly output of roughly 3,000 custom countertops.
