About Faactopi

Faactopi is a Lyon-based industrial deeptech company that provides Manufacturing-as-a-Service for the assembly of complex mechatronic and hardware systems, letting clients industrialise new products without building their own production lines. Its model rests on a reconfigurable factory driven by a proprietary software platform, AARMS (Adaptive Advanced Reconfigurable Manufacturing System), which the company presents as the first reconfigurable factory of its kind in Europe and which can be re-tooled for a new product in a matter of months rather than years. The offer converts capital expenditure into operating expenditure through a pay-as-you-use structure, and is organised around three services covering virtual-twin line simulation, industrial-journey management and full production operations. Faactopi targets robotics and industrial equipment, mobility and aerospace, energy and greentech, and healthtech, and has already assembled for customers including Exotrail, Luniwave and Stereolabs.

Ownership journey

Faactopi was founded in Lyon in 2022 by Saadia Ajana and Bertrand Joubert, both former operators of fuel-cell maker Symbio, on the premise that hardware start-ups struggle to bridge the gap between prototype and volume manufacturing. In April 2026 the company raised EUR 3 million in a strategic round led by Innovacom, investing through its Industries d'Avenir et Territoires 3 vehicle alongside an existing investor. Innovacom is a growth and venture backer rather than a controlling owner, and Faactopi remains an independent, founder-led company. The investment is current and active, with no exit or secondary transaction recorded.

Under PE ownership

The 2026 round was earmarked for accelerating deployment of the AARMS software platform, strengthening Faactopi's industrial capacity and opening a pilot site in Lyon to support customer scaling. Management has framed the capital around an ambition to become a European reference in reconfigurable and intelligent production systems and to grow revenue toward a stated target of EUR 10 million by 2028, against roughly EUR 1 million generated in its first three years. The company has also signalled plans for sector-specific sites aligned with the quality standards of regulated industries such as healthcare, aerospace and defence. Because the financing closed only in 2026, most of its operational effect remains prospective, anchored on platform roll-out and expansion of the client portfolio.
