About Aluthea

Aluthea is a France-based aluminium foundry group that designs and manufactures cast aluminium parts and subassemblies for industrial customers outside the automotive sector. It commands the main foundry processes, high-pressure, low-pressure, gravity and shell, and sand casting, and pairs them with in-house engineering, casting simulation, tooling, and multi-axis machining, alongside a consumer "Living" division that produces outdoor products such as barbecues and fire pits. Its parts serve energy, lighting, hydraulics, construction, medical devices, robotics, industrial equipment, and mobility applications. According to its own disclosures, the group runs five industrial sites, employs more than 300 people, and processes around 4,000 tonnes of aluminium a year, generating revenue of more than EUR 40 million.

Ownership journey

Aluthea traces back to 2001 and is built around an aluminium foundry business headquartered at Porte-des-Bonnevaux in the Isere, led over its build-out by Paul Marino and Hugo Texier. In 2018 Capitem Partenaires backed the group through its FPCI Capitem 2 fund, supporting the founders as they consolidated and expanded the foundry platform. Capitem held the stake for roughly eight years and exited in 2026 via a management buyout. Consistent with the terms of that transaction, the identity of the acquiring shareholders sits outside this record.

Under PE ownership

The Capitem investment underwrote a phase of build-out that turned a single foundry into a multi-site group spanning France, Portugal, and Tunisia, mastering the full range of casting methods across five plants. In 2020 the founders launched the "Living" division for consumer outdoor products, extending the group beyond industrial subcontracting into branded barbecues and fire pits. Over the holding period the platform scaled to more than 300 employees and revenue of roughly EUR 36 million to EUR 40 million, with annual aluminium throughput of about 4,000 tonnes. The group entered its 2026 ownership transition as an established European foundry serving energy, lighting, medical, robotics, and mobility markets.
